Estudio sobre el uso de las tecnologías digitales en el ocio de los jóvenes

La UOC, con la colaboración de la Fundació Catalana de l'Esplai, ha realizado un estudio sobre el uso de las tecnologías digitales en el ocio de los adolescentes del conjunto del Estado. El estudio, «El uso de las tecnologías digitales en el ocio de los adolescentes en España», comprende el resultado de una encuesta a 2.054 personas (de edades comprendidas entre 12 y 18 años) y forma parte del proyecto Transformemos el ocio digital. Un proyecto de socialización en el tiempo libre, financiado por el plan Avanza del Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio. El estudio ha sido liderado por los profesores e investigadores de la UOC Daniel Aranda, Jordi Sánchez-Navarro y Carlos Tabernero. El proyecto de investigación entre la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) y la Fundació Catalana de l'Esplai se inició en 2008 y está previsto que finalice el próximo año cuando se publique un libro blanco con las principales discusiones, reflexiones y metodologías que permitan integrar las herramientas propias del ocio digital en el contexto de la educación en el tiempo libre.

Digital Youth Research

Digital Youth Research: "Kids' Informal Learning with Digital Media: An Ethnographic Investigation of Innovative Knowledge Cultures" is a three-year collaborative project funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Carried out by researchers at the University of Southern California and University of California, Berkeley, the digital youth project explores how kids use digital media in their everyday lives.

Educating the Net Generation

Educating the Net Generation is a collaborative project involving the University of Melbourne, the University of Wollongong, and Charles Sturt University.

The project, funded by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council, began in June 2006. It involved an investigation into students' and teachers' use of new technologies and the development of eight case studies in which emerging technologies were implemented in learning settings across the three participating universities.
